I wasn’t aware Google was on the verge of phasing out support for IE 6. I’m not too surprised to hear the browser persists inside infrequently upgraded parts of the semi-state infrastructure, but I bet they’re not aware fully, either, of the problems with continuing to use an end-of-life browser.

I always use Firefox and regularly come across sites that haven’t checked all their features for that browser.
